Ultimate Workout Method for Women in Their 40s and Beyond

Shortly after my 39th birthday, my life went through a major shake up.

I kicked my boyfriend to the curb, shut down my gym, and hightailed it from Boston to Tampa all in three months.

Talk about a whirlwind!

But it gets better...

Shortly after arriving in Tampa, I also took on housesitting an older, 40-pound dog. Adorable as she was, I had to lift her to take out to do her business - And that's when my back went out.

I couldn't even stand up straight!

It was the first time I actually felt “old” in my body. I felt a wave of "I'm not as young as I used to be" vibes coursing through my veins.

I felt down and disappointed in myself because I couldn't exercise or move like I could a few months prior.

But I don't give up easily either.

Being active is a big part of my life. It brings me joy, whether that’s going out for a hike or working out to feel stronger in my body.

Instead of allowing this perfect storm to derail me — (well, I did have a couple of days sobbing in bed, I won't lie) - I made up my mind that I wouldn't let this stop me.

But oh boy, did things take a wild turn.

Every part of me wanted to pick up where I left off pre-injury, but my body was screaming,

"Hold up, what on earth do you think you're doing?!"

I mean, even bending over to pick up a sock off the floor made me cringe with discomfort.

So while younger Becky would push through the pain, thinking she was as tough as nails...

Older, wiser Becky knows better.

The thought of getting re-injured and going back to square one was not on my agenda. No, thanks! I'd rather play it safe and avoid any unnecessary drama.

So, even though it wasn't easy, I eased back into my workouts taking things slow. I also added in more stretching and mobility.

I slowly climbed my way back to my previous level of strength and endurance.

And after enduring a painful 9 month journey my back finally felt normal again! It felt like an eternity, but listening to my body paid off big time.

And now, today at 41 my back pain is completely gone and I’m stronger than I was even before my injury!

And while I would never wish to repeat this injury, I’m grateful for what it’s taught me.

I've spent years helping ladies recover from injuries or making sure they stay fit and nimble as they age.

But you know what?

Life had a funny way of teaching me a lesson. I finally understood what they were going through!

When I brought my workout programs online, I had one mission in mind - Yes, helping women get fit, but doing it in a way that works for their unique 40+ bodies!

I wanted to make sure these ladies could do it in a way that works for their midlife age, hormones, and bodies.

Because let's face it, we aren't in our 20's anymore! Our bodies need a little extra TLC. And being fit doesn't mean beating up our bodies, being in pain for days, or ending up injured!

We're not getting any younger, but that doesn't mean we can't have fun and stay in shape without it being a painful ordeal.

With the right workouts, women over 40 can feel more powerful, energized, and rejuvenated than ever before.

That’s why it’s my passion to bring midlife women workouts designed for their unique situation in a way that feels amazing!

Because one-size-fits-all workouts (that are really designed for 20 year olds) don’t work for the unique needs of midlife women.

That’s like saying everyone should go out and buy a sports car when what you want and need is an SUV.

We have unique needs and limitations to consider and that’s exactly why I created my BFF Workout Systems! Because ladies, we deserve a better system that works specifically for us!
